Metabolism Is The Key To Weight Loss…Water Is The Key To The Metabolism…Easy As That

If you want to lose weight there is no magic pill that can take the pounds off for you. If there was, there wouldn’t be a soul in the world who would be searching the internet looking for tricks to lose weight. “Ways to lose weight” is one of the most researched topics that Americans are continually hunting down when the truth is that losing weight has no magic at all. It is all about a simple equation, calories in versus calories used. If you are overweight it is as simple as cutting calories or speeding up the consumption of calories that you consume.

There is only one way to speed up the calories that you consume and that is by speeding up your metabolism. There are all sorts of ways that you can increase the effectiveness, and efficiency of your metabolism. The mistake that most of us make, is that in an effort to lose weight, we sabotage the very thing that was created to help us. We slow the metabolism down by going about it the wrong way. Most people cut their calories to the point where the metabolism responds by slowing down.

For evolutionary reasons the metabolism was created to adjust the rate of energy burn by the amount of food that is available. Although hard to imagine, when civilization first began, there was not always enough food to feed the masses. You couldn’t just head to the grocery store and order up some twinkles on the grocery belt. There would be times when the body would have to exist without food for extended periods. To survive the times when food was scarce, the metabolism would slow down to use the energy sparingly. That is great for survival, but bad for your weight loss goals. When you drastically cut the amount of calories that you take in when you are dieting, your metabolism will respond by burning less calories, slowing down and making the food that you do consume last longer.

Sound defeating? It can be. That is why if you want to really achieve your weight loss goals the key is to approach weight loss in the right way. It isn’t about working harder, it is about working smarter. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, a healthy metabolism is the key to your success. One of the things that the metabolism needs most to operate the way it was designed is water. Water is not only full of energy increasing oxygen, it is essential to ramp up your metabolism and to get it burning at a quicker rate.

Another ingredient that is necessary for weight loss is to increase your amount of activity to burn calories. Through a combination of cardio and weight resistance, you will reach your goals with ease. When you increase your activity you must also increase your water intake. Your body responds to a lack of hydration in the same way that it does calorie depletion. If you don’t replenish what is lost your metabolism will slow down and you will have very little energy. Again, if you want your body to work with you, you have to work with it. Water is also necessary to repair muscle fibers to grow lean muscle mass. Muscle is perhaps the best secret to increasing your metabolism. By building muscle you can naturally speed your metabolism, but you need water to build muscle. Are you starting to see that water is imperative for weight loss?

If you want for your body to work with you to lose weight, you have to work with it. Just an additional couples glasses of water a day can speed up your weight loss and have you reaching your goals in no time. There may not be a magic pill, but water sure does have some magic for weight loss achievement.
